STUDIO POLICIES

Welcome to Chrissy Rae's Dance Academy! Please review our studio policies carefully to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and productive environment for all students, parents, and staff.

Enrollment & Registration

  • Complete the required forms and submit all documentation by the specified deadlines.

  • Pay the non-refundable registration fee upon enrollment.

  • Tuition payments are due at the beginning of each month. Auto-pay is processed on the 3rd of every month.

Class Attendance

  • Regular attendance is essential for progress. Please arrive 10 minutes early for each class.

  • Report absences in advance. Excessive absences may affect participation in performances.

  • Make-up classes are available subject to instructor approval and must be completed within the same month.

Dress Code

  • Wear the appropriate dance attire and footwear for each class type. Specific guidelines will be provided upon enrollment.

  • Hair must be neatly secured away from the face. Avoid wearing accessories that can interfere with movement.

  • Inappropriate attire is not allowed and may result in being asked to sit out of the class.

Code of Contact

  • Show respect towards instructors and fellow students at all times.

  • Maintain a positive and supportive attitude. Bullying or harassment will not be tolerated.

  • Follow the studio rules and guidelines to ensure a safe and respectful environment.

Health & Safety

  • Practice injury prevention and notify instructors of any injuries or health concerns.

  • Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness. Make sure you throughly wash your hands when entering the studio. 

  • Provide emergency contact information and follow the studio's emergency procedures.

Classroom Policies

  • Arrive and depart at the scheduled times. If we are not notified 3 hours prior to the class, late arrivals may not be allowed to join the class.

  • Parent observation is allowed only in waiting room!

  • Mobile phones and electronic devices should be turned off or set to silent during class.

Payments & Fees

  • A card on file is required.

  • Tuition fees are due at the beginning of each month. Payments can be made online or at the studio.

  • Late payments will incur a penalty fee. Continued late payments may result in suspension of classes. Payments are considered late on the 10th of every month.

  • Refunds for partial months are not provided. Withdrawal requires a 30-day written notice via email.

Cancellation & Make-Up Classes

  • Classes may be canceled by the studio due to holidays, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. Notice will be provided in advance.

  • Missed classes due to student absence can be made up within the same month, subject to availability.

  • No refunds or credits are given for missed classes.

Performance & Competitions

  • Participation in performances and competitions is encouraged but not mandatory. Requirements and expectations will be communicated in advance.

  • Costume and performance fees will be additional and must be paid by the specified deadlines.

  • Attendance at all rehearsals is mandatory for those participating in performances.

Photography & Videography

  • By enrolling, you consent to the use of photos and videos taken during classes and events for promotional purposes.

  • Parents and students are allowed to take photos or videos only on designated observation days.

Communication

  • Clear and consistent communication between instructors, students, and parents is required. 

  • Updates and any upcoming events will notify you through you email. Please refer to these as your priority source for information. 

  • If you want to speak to an informed staff member on any questions, comments, or concerns, please make an appointment or show up during scheduled business hours. 

Facility Use

  • Use studio facilities and equipment responsibly. Report any damages or maintenance issues to staff.

  • Keep the studio clean and tidy. Dispose of trash properly and respect shared spaces.

  • Security measures are in place for the safety of all students and staff. Follow access policies strictly.

Liability Waver

  • A waiver of liability for injuries sustained during classes or events must be signed upon enrollment.

  • Parental consent is required for minors participating in dance activities.

  • We recommend students have personal health insurance.

Special Programs & Workshops

  • Enrollment and fees for special programs or workshops are separate from regular class tuition.

  • Policies specific to each program or workshop will be provided upon enrollment.

  • Participation and attendance expectations will be clearly communicated.
